ISH Global Connect: Terms and Conditions & Acceptable Use Policy

Welcome to ISH Global Connect. These Terms and Conditions, including our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), govern your use of the website located at https://www.ish.aluminate.net (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site.

ISH Global Connect is a platform operated by International Students House (ISH) in partnership with Aluminati Network Group Ltd ("Aluminati") to facilitate alumni engagement and networking.


 
  1. Definitions
    • ISH” – International Students House, registered at 229 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PN.

    • Aluminati” – The service provider operating the platform, registered at 2 Minton Enterprise Park, Oaks Drive, Newmarket, CB8 7YY.

    • You” or “User” – Any person accessing or using the Site.

    • We” or “Us” – ISH and Aluminati collectively.

    • Personal Data” – Any information relating to an identifiable individual as defined by the UK GDPR.

 
  1. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

To ensure a safe and respectful environment, you agree to:

    • Act lawfully and respectfully:

      • Treat other users with courtesy and professionalism.

      • Refrain from engaging in harassment, abuse, or offensive behaviour.

      • Respect the intellectual property rights of ISH and third parties.

    • Prohibited activities include:

      • Posting, sharing, or transmitting any material that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, discriminatory, or illegal.

      • Using the platform for commercial purposes, including solicitation or advertising without prior approval.

      • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems.

      • Uploading malicious software, viruses, or engaging in activities that may

compromise the Site’s security.

      • Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation with ISH or any other entity.

Reporting Misuse: If you encounter any inappropriate behaviour, please report it to alumni@ish.org.uk.

ISH reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate this policy.


 
  1. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, store, and process your data in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Failure to comply may result in account suspension or legal action.


 
  1. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must notify us immediately at alumni@ish.org.uk.

We take reasonable measures to protect user data, but we cannot guarantee complete security. You acknowledge that you use the Site at your own risk.


 
  1. Content Ownership and Use

All content published by ISH or Aluminati, including text, images, and logos, is protected under intellectual property laws. You may:

    • Download and print content for personal, non-commercial use.

    • Not modify, distribute, or exploit content without written permission.

By uploading content to the platform, you grant ISH a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it in accordance with our Privacy Policy. ISH may remove any content that violates this agreement.

ISH aims to ensure uninterrupted access but reserves the right to:

    • Suspend or withdraw the Site (or parts of it) without prior notice.
